Image Viewer for X is a browser extension for viewing images and GIF-style videos on x.com and twitter.com. It has no developer-operated server, account system, analytics, advertising, or tracking.

Data handled locally. On supported X pages, the extension reads the image or GIF media URLs, image dimensions, and nearby page elements needed to open the reader and switch between images in a post. It stores the extension on/off setting, language preference, and, for images the user reads, a media-path identifier with the last reading position in chrome.storage.local on the user's device. It does not read the user's general browsing history. The extension does not send these settings or reading positions to the developer.

Images, copying, and downloads. The browser requests image and video files from X's media hosts to display them. When the user clicks Copy Image, the extension requests the selected image from pbs.twimg.com, converts it to PNG in memory, and writes it to the local clipboard. When the user clicks Download Image, Chrome downloads that image to the user's device. The extension does not upload copied or downloaded images to the developer or any analytics service. These requests to X are subject to X's own privacy practices.

Retention and control. Preferences and reading positions remain in the browser's local extension storage until the user clears the extension's data or removes the extension. A reading position is removed when the user returns to the top of that image. Clipboard contents and downloaded files are controlled by the browser and operating system after the user chooses those actions.

Sharing and limited use. The developer does not sell user data or transfer it to advertisers. Data obtained through Chrome extension APIs is used only for the extension's stated image-viewing features, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements. The extension does not use remote executable code.

保存期限与控制。 偏好和阅读位置保存在浏览器的插件本地存储中，直到用户清除插件数据或卸载插件。用户将某张图片滚回顶部时，该图片的阅读位置会被删除。用户复制或下载后，剪贴板内容和下载文件由浏览器及操作系统管理。

共享与有限用途。 开发者不会出售用户数据，也不会将其提供给广告商。通过 Chrome 插件 API 获取的数据仅用于本插件所说明的图片查看功能，遵守 Chrome Web Store User Data Policy 及 Limited Use 要求。插件不执行远程代码。
